The Dutch are more than happy to speak English with you. But sometimes we’re a bit too eager, and we might overlook your attempts to speak Dutch. With our Spreek Nederlands! Met Mij!button-campaign, we tried to make people workings in shops, bars and restaurants aware of this. Now let’s also break the cycle at work, so you can speak Dutch with the people you spend more time with than your family!
The best way to learn a language is to practise, practise, practise. We already stressed the importance of this by launching our Spreek Nederlands! Met mij! campaign last summer. But what if your Dutch colleagues still rather speak English with you? Or what if your Dutch colleagues are willing, but just don’t know how to help you?
We created a poster for you to hang at your office. It encourage your colleagues to speak Dutch with you and it also provides them with tips on how to help you learn Dutch faster.
