Tuesday chooseday!

Is it Het klok of De klok?

klok

The correct answer would be de klok. If you would refer to a small clock, you want to use the diminutive for clock: klokje. In general diminutives are ‘het’ woorden: het klokje

Now here are two lovely Dutch expressions involving a clock.

Iets aan de grote klok hangen
To hang something on the big clock (to tell the whole world rather than being discrete about something)
Zoals het klokje thuis tikt, tikt het nergens
The clock doesn’t tick anywhere the same as at home (home sweet home)
