Tuesday is a good day for a little quiz. It’s the second day of the working week. It’s almost Wednesday, so that means it’s almost Thursday. Basically, it’s almost weekend! O.k., let’s not get ahead of ourselves, here’s the question.
What time is it – Hoe laat is het? In English, you would say half past two, or half two. What would you say in Dutch? Half twee or half drie?
The correct answer is half drie. So when you want to meet somebody at half twee, half drie of half vier. Make sure you both mean the same thing!
