De musical Billy Elliot is uitgeroepen tot de beste grote musical van 2014. Dat werd gisteravond bekend op het Musical Awards Gala in Utrecht.
Aanstormend Jong Musicaltalent
Ook de 13-jarige Carlos Puts uit Zoetermeer viel in de prijzen. Hij werd uitgeroepen tot Aanstormend Jong Musicaltalent van het jaar. Carlos speelde de hoofdrol tijdens de Nederlandse première van Billy Elliot. Hij is één van de vijf jongens die de rol van Billy speelt in de musical.

De musical Billy Elliot gaat over een 11-jarige jongen die van zijn vader op boksen moet, terwijl hij zelf veel liever op ballet wil.
