Dutch up on the Dutch Monarchy! Sunday 26 April

What is the relation between our present king Willem-Alexander and Willem van Oranje (1533 – 1584)? The Dutch kings and queens, who were they? Who did they marry? How do the Dutch look upon the monarchy?

Even though the Netherlands was one of the first republics in the world, the country has been a monarchy for over 200 years now. In our workshop, on Sunday 26 April in Central Library The Hague, you’ll learn all about it.

This interactive workshop is in simple Dutch (level B1 +). There will be a lot of opportunity to practice your Dutch conversation skills.

Dutch up! is a great way to practise speaking Dutch while also learning more about typical Dutch subjects. You have to have at least a basic knowledge of Dutch to be able to fully participate in the workshops (level B1 and higher). To participate in the filmclub, it is adviced you have a basic knowledge of Dutch, but even with a little knowledge of Dutch, you can enjoy and learn. The entrance is free, registration is required: send an email to dutchup@directdutch.com.
