Gooische Vrouwen 2 is a Dutch movie based on the comedy-drama series Gooische Vrouwen. It is one of the most successful Dutch movies of all times. In the movie we follow the lives of Cheryl, Anouk, Roelien and Claire. These four female friends live in het Gooi which is pretty much the Dutch equivalent of Beverly Hills. Like in the popular American series ‘Desperate Housewives’, their everyday lives are filled with romance, betrayal, schemes, money, sex, problems and.. lots of humour!
Gooische Vrouwen 2 is een Nederlandse film gebaseerd op de komische dramaserie Gooische Vrouwen. Het is één van de meest succesvolle Nederlandse films aller tijden. In de film volgen we het leven van de vriendinnen Cheryl, Anouk, Roelien en Claire. Zij wonen in het Gooi, het Nederlandse equivalent van Beverly Hills. Net als in de populaire Amerikaanse serie ‘Desperate Housewives’ wordt hun leven gekenmerkt door romantiek, bedrog, manipulatie, geld, sex, problemen en… veel humor!
Direct Dutch filmclub
Four times a year Dutch language school Direct Dutch Institute and Bibliotheek Den Haag, organise a filmclub with Dutch movies for internationals living in The Hague (and surroundings).
Since everybody is required to speak in simple Dutch (no English allowed), this is a great opportunity to actually speak Dutch! Of course there are teachers present who will help you with your Dutch.
In the course of the afternoon, we will watch the movie and discuss it in small groups, ending in a group discussion. Our programme is suitable for everyone with (at least) an elementary knowledge of Dutch (A1/A2) who would like to engage in Dutch culture and build on his or her conversation skills in an informal and fun way.
