On Sunday March 12 there will be a new edition of our workshop series Dutch up!. This time we will discuss Dutch politics and the upcoming Dutch General Elections. Do you want to know more about the Dutch elections and do you want to improve your Dutch? Then this is meant for you. The workshop is in Dutch, level A2 / B1 and higher. Dutch up on the Dutch General Elections
In this workshop we’ll discuss expressions, phrases, idioms and words that have to with Dutch politics and the national elections. The following topics will be dealt with
– Dutch democracy, when did it all start?
– Who are allowed to vote?
– Who can start a political party?
– Which political parties are there?
– How is the prime minister chosen?
– What does ‘poldermodel’ mean?
– Why is the government a coalition-cabinet?
– What are your predictions?
Dutch up!
Dutch up! is a great way to practise speaking Dutch while also learning more about typical Dutch subjects. This workshop will be in simple Dutch so you have to have some knowledge of Dutch to be able to fully participate (level A2 / B1 +).
