Sunday March 17, filmclub ‘Iep’

Are you looking for an entertaining way to practise your Dutch? The filmclub is a great opportunity! On Sunday March 17 there will be a new edition. We will be watching Dutch family movie ‘Iep’! Our program is in Dutch and is suitable for everyone with (at least) an elementary knowledge of Dutch (A1 or higher). Or else, we’ll just help you a little!

Is het een vogel of een meisje? Hoe zullen we haar noemen? Warre en Tine weten niet wat ze moeten doen met ‘Vogeltje’. Ze willen haar graag houden. Maar wil Vogeltje dat zelf wel?

Is it a bird or a girl? What shall we call her? Warre and Tine don’t know what to do with ‘Vogeltje’ (Birdy). They like to keep her. But what does Vogeltje want?

Four times a year Dutch language school Direct Dutch Institute and Bibliotheek Den Haag, organise a filmclub with Dutch movies for internationals living in The Hague (and surroundings).

Since everybody is required to speak in simple Dutch (no English allowed), this is a great opportunity to actually speak Dutch! Of course there are teachers present who will help you with your Dutch.

In the course of the afternoon, we will watch the movie and discuss it in small groups, ending in a group discussion. Our program is suitable for everyone with (at least) an elementary knowledge of Dutch (A1/A2) who would like to engage in Dutch culture and build on his or her conversation skills in an informal and fun way.

The filmclub is organised by Direct Dutch Institute and Public Library The Hague.
